Thompson Park Bowling Club members are looking forward to the 2023 season. We improved a lot in 22, with 17 games won compared to only 6 the previous year. We managed to attract 5 new members, 4 of which were novices. We all pulled together to end up on a high. We already have a further 3 players signed up this year. We were fortunate to receive a Sunderland Council Community Chest Grant last year & were able to upgrade our rink furniture, general equipment, purchase a junior target bowls set & add a sign above our Clubhouse door. Anyone wishing to play bowls or practise at the Club will be made welcome. New members keep us on track to reach our centenary in 2038. Ladies & gents can play in our league teams.
